Manager Planning & Production Management (f/m/d)
in the Business Strategy department at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany
Job mission:
We invite you to join our team to maximize efficiency in production planning. Your expertise will be pivotal in determining the best scenarios for short and mid-term production strategies, aligning with sales and order performance across various regions.
You'll play a vital role in supporting the business strategy head, ensuring that the objectives of Kia Europe Headquarter (KEU RHQ) and our factory (KasK) are aligned and executed with utmost efficiency.
Your responsibilities:
KaSK Production Planning:
Lead and consolidate weekly, monthly, and 5-month production operations from all regions with supply from KaSK factory.
Collaborate with the factory to ensure high-quality supply solutions that match order forecast mixes by regions, models, and derivatives.
Production & Sales Alignment:
Drive the seamless coordination of production and export volume among different regions, efficiently allocating resources in case of back-orders, and compensating when orders are missing.
KaSK Production & Sales Meetings:
Facilitate and organize monthly production meetings, calls, and dialogues among KHQ/European Region and other Kia regions to foster productive discussions on production operations.
KaSK Model Change Management:
Expertly plan the balance-out quantity of run-out models for each region to minimize supply impacts and prevent the obsolete cost of materials. Support the collection of new model orders for the factory and determine the optimal production start schedule.
Mid-Long Term Production Strategy:
Take the lead in setting up and planning mid to long-term production strategies for product development, working in tandem with Factory, Sales, and Product teams at KEU.
EUR1 Management:
Monitor and track EUR1 status for Market shipments on a regular basis. Play a crucial role in risk management for new EUR1 compliance criteria for electric vehicles, ensuring the highest standards are met. Cooperate closely with relevant departments to support markets in updating their line-up in accordance with compliance guidelines.
New Market Entry Analysis:
Review and analyze the entry of new markets that require production from KMS factory, including ordering processes, adapting to new specifications, and localizing specific options or special orders.
Strategic Planning Alignment:
Support KEU and KaSK regional strategy meetings or executive meetings, contributing key strategic insights to enhance operational efficiency.
Your talents:6 or more years previous experience in the automotive business (preferably on Sales Planning, Production Planning or Supply Chain Management)
Experience in working with and analyzing bid data
Proven experience in providing top management reports.
Extensive experience in a Regional or International HQ, with a strong grasp of the relationships between Global HQ and Regional Offices.
Computer skills, particularly in the MS-Office package, with an emphasis on expertly using complex spreadsheets in Excel.
Excellent data management and data flow knowledge.
Interpersonal skills, open-mindedness, and excellent communication abilities at all organizational levels.
Strategic thinking abilities, highly numerate with strong analytical skills to drive informed decisions.
Effective management of multiple tasks, displaying excellent organization and planning skills.
Self-motivation, with meticulous planning abilities, ensuring efficient project execution.
A strong team player with an open approach towards working with diverse nationalities and cultures.
Fluent proficiency in English (both written and spoken), with additional languages considered a plus.
