Senior Manager IT Security (M/F/D)



at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.


Job mission:


Lead the IT Security team in developing and implementing programs, policies, and procedures in the European region to protect the organization from current and future cyber security threats. Work closely with security functions in the Headquarter to ensure a holistic and compliant cyber security framework in the European region.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the IT security team in Kia EU - determine the section strategy and related business plan.

  • Lead and execute IT Security for: Kia Europe (Kia EU), Kia Design Center (KDC) and Kia Connect (KCE).

  • Lead and monitor IT Security for: 14 European subsidiaries and the Kia Factory in Slovakia.

  • Act as the main liaison with HQ stakeholders for planning and implementing global IT security programs in Europe.

  • Plan, supervise and implement regional IT security programs in alignment with HQ.

  • Manage 3rd party partners such as HAEE Security for implementation of the IT Security framework.

  • Introduce and maintain IT security tools and technologies.

  • Develop and maintain IT security policies and procedures in alignment with global framework.

  • Educate the European organization on IT security requirements, processes, and best practices.

  • Monitor internal and external policy compliance.

  • Act as an IT security gatekeeper within the Kia EU project governance cycle.

  • Develop regular reporting on key IT Security metrics and risks for senior stakeholders in Kia EU and HQ.

  • Manage security incidents and define countermeasures for current / future cyber security threats.

  • Act as a senior advisor for the Kia EU organization on all aspects of cyber security.

  • Provide direction, feedback and coaching to support professional and personal development of the team.

  • Support IT leadership in designing and implementing the departmental strategy, and in developing a strong and motivated team.


Your talents (must-have):

  • Leadership to strongly drive and persistently chase the security to-do list.

  • Good verbal and written Korean communication skills (liaising with HQ functions).

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (working language).

Your talents:

  • Understanding of European data protection frameworks such as GDPR.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing IT security frameworks and architectures.

  • Sound knowledge of common cyber security frameworks and tools.

  • Sound experience in working in digital environments and assessing cyber security risks with legacy and new technologies.

  • Experience in creating and implementing IT security policies and procedures.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and suppliers regarding cyber security threats and required countermeasures.

  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and challenges in a fast-moving environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently.

  • A positive, pragmatic, and optimistic approach to problem-solving.
