Assistant Manager Compliance & Regulatory (All genders welcome)

in the Legal & Compliance Department at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.


Job mission:

To manage general internal audit process for Kia EU and its European subsidiaries, supports other compliance projects, and reports to Kia Europe’s Head of Compliance & Regulatory.



Your responsibilities:

  • Support Kia Europe’s Head of Compliance & Regulatory to translate complex compliance rules and measures into various business processes across Europe.

  • Develop and prepare drafts for compliance materials including presentations, training materials, policies, guidelines and manuals.

  • Support advising internal stakeholders on relevant compliance areas including competition law, anti-bribery & corruption, anti-money laundering, ESG regulations, supply chain due diligence, sanctions, conflict of interest and human rights.

  • Support developing and implementing digital tools for compliance monitoring and workflows.

  • Develop projects to improve internal and external communication of Kia Europe’s compliance projects.

  • Support management of Kia Europe’s whistleblowing tools as well as case management.

  • Support internal investigations of potential compliance risks.

  • Support communications with and proceedings of regulatory and enforcement authorities

  • Support improvement of Kia Europe’s internal audit management system, procedures and tools.

  • Support preparation of and conducting internal audits as well as the analysis of audit findings.

  • Develop process optimizations and strategies to address risks / deficiencies identified through internal audits and other channels, including any corrective measures and notifications to authorities.

  • Support Head of Compliance & Regulatory in other compliance projects where necessary.

 


Your talents:

  • Degree in business administration, law, economics, business law or other comparable qualification.

  • Preferably prior experience of up to 3 years within a law firm, a legal or compliance department of a multinational company.

  • Good understanding of internal control and compliance concepts.

  • Strong analytical skills, in particular regarding effectiveness and deficiencies of internal controls and compliance measures.

  • Professional ethics and teamwork, multi-tasking, communication and professional presentation skills.

  • Experienced in MS Office applications and audit-related software.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Auditing certification (e.g., CIA) and/or bar admission in Europe are a plus.

  • Fluent in English and in one other European language, reading capability of German language is a plus.
