at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.
Job mission:
Build all ESG reporting and due diligence activities within Kia Europe in line with legislative, compliance and strategic standards. Lead sustainability reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement strategic ESG initiatives.
Promote strong ESG foundations across all Kia Europe functions, support each department in achieving its ESG goals, and manage senior stakeholders to align with sustainability objectives across a variety of Pan-European entities and our HQ.
Bring new business ideas and proposals that will add values to the future of Kia Europe, with active market monitoring and research.
Your responsibilities:
The following are main tasks and main responsibilities, but not limited:
The ESG Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of ESG mandatory and voluntary reporting strategies, analyzing ESG data and trends and informing the ongoing development of the corporate ESG strategy.
Lead the ESRS Gap closure across KEU and its subsidiaries aiming at the development and publication of the Annual Sustainability Report.
Ensure accurate and timely data collection and analysis for reporting purposes.
Communicate the company's sustainability performance to internal and external stakeholders through detailed and transparent reporting, by using a variety of tools, such as the Microsoft package.
Lead all data submission activities through a dedicated data software ESG tool and onboard new stakeholders onto system.
Pro-Actively tracking changes in ESG standards, ratings, and rankings relative to our industry and relevant global leaders.
Through strong project management and communication skills, collaborate with subject matter experts, communications and marketing teams to support the development of strategic ESG communications products tailored to key stakeholders, such as the sustainability report.
Communicate with variety of stakeholders across our manufacturing site, HQ, NSCs and internal departments to align on targets, requirements, activities and documents ensuring that we’re compliant with CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CSDDD and Green Claims Directive.
Liaise with external consultancy providers to obtain recommendations related to enhancement of Kia’s ESG strategy, methods, framework, and related tools to support achievement of internal sustainability/ ESG goals and objectives.
Lead all ESG auditing activities and ensure clear adherence to process and standards.
Develop and implement local-scaled ESG initiatives that enhance environmental and social sustainability of Kia’s European business in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Increase awareness of ESG by creating guidelines, employee training, workshops, generating various tools and guidance material such as checklists, policies, procedures, and other related program content, to align with best-practice frameworks within Kia EU and markets.
Develop and distribute sustainability/ESG best practice recommendations for Kia EU Departments and markets.
Build network ESG-related key stakeholders across the value chain of Kia’s European business.
Manage communications with Kia HQ to align on activities, strategies and targets
Your talents:
Education:
University degree in Business or Economics, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or a technical degree in Science or Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in related position or specialization
Prior hands-on experience in corporate sustainability disclosures and due diligence, including in consulting or financial services.
Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with little oversight.
Prior experience in automotive industry (preferred).
Skills:
Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks, including CSRD/ESRS/ EU Taxonomy/ ISSB / GRI/ TCFD.
Subject-matter expertise in sustainability matters (preferable: GHG emissions, circular economy, human rights, supply chain ESG), including related EU regulations.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office products.
Fluent in English (written and spoken). Additional European languages are a plus.
