Job mission:
The Assistant Manager Field Action & Authority Communication is integral to overseeing the management of field actions and technical investigations, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and maintaining documentation compliance. This role encompasses the coordination of recalls, service campaigns, and field fixes, requiring meticulous planning and collaboration across multiple departments to uphold operational standards and regulatory compliance.
Your responsibilities:
Field Actions & Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) Management:
Planning and Coordination: Lead planning and coordination of field actions, including recalls, service campaigns, and field fixes.
Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for service teams, QA, national distributors, and parts suppliers to ensure unified execution.
TSB Development: Oversee development, review, and distribution of TSBs across European markets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with R&D, QA teams, and headquarters to gather necessary information for TSB updates.
Market Release: Manage timely release of TSBs to NSCs and distributors.
Support Coordination: Ensure availability of required parts, tools, and resources for TSB implementation.
Effectiveness Monitoring: Monitor TSB effectiveness and gather feedback for improvement.
Primary Contact: Act as the primary contact for TSB inquiries from NSCs and distributors.
Process Optimization: Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline TSB approval, publication, and follow-up actions.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and optimize TSB processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Technical Investigations Coordination:
Support and Leadership: Guide technical investigations to support global headquarters, R&D, and QA teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and data analysis teams to conduct detailed technical analyses and provide solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
National Distributors Collaboration: Forge strong relationships with national distributors for smooth information and resource flow.
Parts Supplier Collaboration: Coordinate with suppliers to secure timely component availability for field actions.
Quality Assurance and Reporting:
Process Improvement: Collaborate with the QA team to refine the quality and effectiveness of technical investigations and field actions.
Comprehensive Reporting: Generate detailed reports on the progress and outcomes of field actions and investigations, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Authority Communication:
Regulatory Compliance: Manage communications with authorities, ensuring responses are timely, compliant, and aligned with the European Automotive Safety Office and stakeholder interests.
Your talents:
Education: University Degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive safety or quality management.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of vehicle safety systems, diagnosis, and repair processes; strong understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the European market.
Strong project management skills with expertise in handling complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
Time management and prioritization skills.
Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; fluency in English is required, with proficiency in Korean highly preferred.
Travel: Willingness to travel periodically across Europe and to global headquarters.
