Assistant Manager Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) (All genders welcome)

at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.


Job mission:
Due to the adoption of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR, K-SoX), Kia EU and its subsidiaries must operate ICFR effectively. The Assistant Manager ICFR will be responsible for managing and overseeing ICFR and IT general controls across all Kia EU subsidiaries. Additionally, this role will coordinate requests from the Kia HQ ICFR team and facilitate effective communication between Kia HQ and the subsidiaries.



Your responsibilities:


The following are main tasks and main responsibilities, but not limited:


Kia EU Internal Control Financial Reporting (ICFR):

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Korean ICFR (K-SOX) compliance, ensuring a robust control environment for Kia EU and its 13 subsidiaries.

  • Plan, design, and implement the development and ongoing maintenance of Kia HQ ICFR controls and related procedures.

  • Collaborate with control owners to ensure controls are effective and implement remedies for any identified control deficiencies.

  • Lead internal testing and documentation of Kia EU operational controls and IT general controls for Kia EU and its subsidiaries.

  • Support both external and internal ICFR audits, acting as a subject-matter expert on Internal Controls over Financial Reporting.

  • Implement and manage an ICFR management system, providing ongoing support for its operation.

  • Provide timely and detailed status updates on control readiness, testing results, and remediation plans to management.


Your talents:


Education:

  • University degree in Business Administration or Accounting/Controlling.


Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in financial auditing and internal control is highly desirable.


Skills:

  • Intercultural awareness and understanding.

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

  • Proficiency in financial and management accounting.

  • Advanced computer skills (MS-Office), especially Excel; knowledge of SAP BI is preferable

  • Familiarity with the FI Controlling Framework.

  • Good analytical & problem-solving skills.

  • High level of accuracy and responsiveness.
