Assistant Manager IT Budget Controller (all genders welcome) within our IT department of the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany


Job Mission:

The purpose of the role "IT Budget Controller" is to manage and coordinate all aspects of the Kia Europe IT (Kia EU IT) budget in close collaboration with the Kia EU IT management. Other stakeholders include Kia EU Finance and counterparts in the Europe National Sales Companies (NSCs), as well as Finance teams at vendors. The role is essential for controlled budget planning, spending and forecasting. Typically the IT budget consolidates budget items for core IT operations and also business-driven budgets for system developments.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the Kia EU IT budget: OpEx, CapEx, running costs, cash budgets, travel costs, etc.

  • Rigorous controlling of the overall budget spending with regular reporting/forecasting for Kia EU IT management.

  • Coordinate the creation, approval and documentation of IT-related budget spending requests (RFAs).

  • Manage the review and approval of IT-related (vendor) invoices.

  • Work with the Kia EU IT team and other stakeholders for IT license management.

  • Coordinate and orchestrate the financial part of the annual business planning process for Kia EU IT and with internal/external stakeholders.

  • Liaise with Kia EU Finance for IT-related budget topics (spending, forecasting, business planning).

  • Act as single point of contact for NSC IT and Finance management for IT-related budget topics.

  • Liaise with the Finance team at Hyundai AutoEver Europe (key techn. support / development partner) for all budget topics.

  • Support IT-related budget requests from HMG HQ organization.

  • Manage IT-related tasks for e.g. tax audits and coordinate with Kia EU Finance as required.

  • Develop and implement proposals for improving budget-related processes, control, reporting, etc.

  • Provide guidance and operational support to the Kia EU IT and train new joiners around financial process management and processes.

  • Support ad-hoc projects as defined by the Director IT.

Your Talents:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in managing budgets across complex project portfolios.

  • Proven experience in financial planning, tracking and forecasting.

  • Proficiency in SAP, ERP and MS Office applications.

  • Ability to articulate/consolidate complex information in concise reporting for management and operational levels.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision.

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and challenges in a fast-moving environment.

  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and multicultural competence.

  • Very good spoken and written English (working language).
