Assistant Manager Product Marketing (all genders welcome)

at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.


Job mission:
Support the respective Product Marketing team with managing assigned car lines to optimize variable profit, sales volume, market share growth and brand equity through successful launch activities, appropriate price positioning and active life cycle management.

Area of Responsibility: Assigned Kia car lines from 18 months before the start of production until end of the life cycle.



Your responsibilities:


The following are main tasks and main responsibilities, but not limited:

  • Support product management activities for new launches with international cross-functional teams.

  • Research industry and market trends for current portfolio lifecycle management.

  • Support special value package development and implementation for peak sales periods.

  • Collaborate with the Pricing team for market-appropriate pricing as well as for specific lifecycle actions and special packages.

  • Liaise with peers from the sales subsidiaries to gather market insights and build a strong network.

  • Address market challenges quickly and proactively with product lifecycle actions.

  • Provide updated product information to markets and internal teams.

  • Represent Kia during launch activities for external stakeholders.

  • Provide feedback to the Product Planning team on current models.

  • Support Pricing team in setting prices and provide updated product specifications.

  • Provide regularly updated product specifications files in the required format to Pricing team including features analysis (forecasted) cost data and market values.

  • Support the development and implementation of a Pan-European timeline strategy.


Your talents:


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Economics; MBA is a plus.


Experience:

  • 3 years of pan-European automotive industry experience.


Skills:

  • Familiarity with market analysis tools (e.g., JATO, S&P Global).

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable.

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

  • Initiative, self-confidence, and resilience.

  • Passion for the Automotive industry and familiarity with Asian cultures/companies.

  • Willingness to travel for business requirements (e.g., South Korea, major Auto Shows, meetings with European markets, test drives) and support PR events while launching products.
