Assistant Manager Registration and Homologation (all genders welcome)



at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.


Job mission:
As an Assistant Manager Registration and Homologation, your primary focus will be on navigating the registration landscape of Kia brand vehicles within Kia Europe (Kia EU). You will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless registration process from before Start of Production (SOP) through the end of the vehicle's lifecycle.


Your responsibilities:

  • Support vehicle registration and homologation matters at Kia Europe (Kia EU).

  • Act as the main point of contact for Kia Europe subsidiaries and importers to streamline registration activities.

  • Setup and management of the vehicle registration system to ensure accurate issuance of Certificates of Conformity (CoC) for each Whole Vehicle Type - Approval (WVTA) extension.

  • Identify and implement improvements to registration systems, supporting IT projects for enhancements.

  • Support Research & Development (R&D) regarding local regulations by surveying markets.

  • Support markets to manage their End of Series, and issue necessary communications.

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing by developing or refining business processes, including the homologation manual.

  • Ensure that changes to CoC format are implemented by IT inline with regulations.

  • Participate in the Operational Launch Committee to provide updates on homologation status.

  • Upload WVTA files to Product SharePoint and communicate updates to markets.

  • Assist in Market Surveillance activities as needed.


Your talents:

  • University degree (ideally in Mechanical Engineering).

  • 3 years’ European automotive industry experience with a focus on registration and homologation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel for data analysis.

  • Strong understanding of European Registration and Homologation processes and their requirements.

  • Quantitative and analytical skills to support decision-making and excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience working in a diverse environment, with an understanding of various cultures and perspectives.

  • Initiative, self-confidence, and resilience.

  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Passion for the automotive industry, including cars, motorsports and automotive design.
