Manager Product Price Planning (all genders welcome)

at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.


Job mission:
To monitor and control the model line profitability for Kia EU, review vehicle pricing—including new models, PE (Product Enhancement) changes, and MY (Model Year) changes—for P&L (Profit and Loss) impact. Liaise with the Pricing team to establish a vehicle price proposal that meets the profitability targets of Kia EU entities. Coordinate with Kia HQ Finance to understand their perspective and work towards a unified approach to model pricing. Additionally, manage various analyses to support strategic decisions regarding price changes.



Your responsibilities:


The following are main tasks and main responsibilities, but not limited:


(1) Product pricing management:

  • Collaborate with the Pricing team to establish financial guidelines for vehicle pricing in accordance with Kia HQ and/or Kia EU directives.

  • Review pricing proposals from Kia EU subsidiaries, verify financial data, and facilitate the approval process with KHQ/KEU.

  • Ensure all financial figures align with KEU guidelines and are accurate.

  • Communicate with subsidiaries to gather necessary information and validate the reasonableness of submitted values.

  • Monitor and summarize the major P&L impacts of any changes to current model prices based on profitability guidelines.

  • Coordinate with related teams at Kia HQ and KaSK (Kia Slovakia plant) to understand and review FOBs (Free on Board costs) in pricing proposals, and work with the Marketing Pricing Team to develop FOB harmonization

  • Conduct various analyses to support strategic decisions on price increases or decreases, considering the price competitiveness of VA (Value Added) and TA (Total Added).

(2) CO2 Management:

  • Oversee the CO2 management operations at the Kia EU level, including yearly planning, monthly achievements, and yearly forecasts, ensuring compliance with Kia EU CO2 targets.

  • Optimize the product mix and allocation at the Kia EU level to maximize consolidated profit while staying within CO2 targets.

Overall, develop and execute a variety of ad-hoc reports and analyses for Pricing and CO2 Management. Review related processes and procedures to optimize workflows, improve the quality of information delivered, and promote effective and efficient operations by implementing standardized processes.


Your talents:


Education:

  • University degree in Business Administration or Accounting/Controlling.


Experience:

  • Significant cumulative experience operating in senior financial leadership roles.

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in finance, controlling, or product management, preferably in an international environment.


Skills:

  • Intercultural awareness and understanding.

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

  • Proficiency in financial and management accounting.

  • Advanced computer skills in MS-Office (especially Excel), with knowledge of SAP BI being preferable.

  • Understanding of the FI Controlling Framework.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skill.

  • High level of accuracy and responsiveness.

  • Strong business acumen.

  • Strong attention to detail, especially with large datasets.

  • Proficiency in summarizing and reporting to management.
