Manager Purpose Built Vehicles (f/m/d)

in the Purpose Built Vehicles department at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany


Job mission:

  • Manage Purpose Built Vehicles (PBV) go-to-market strategy and guide all Kia Europe departments in developing and defining a 5 year cross-functional strategy for Purpose Built Vehicles

  • Operationalize PBV Strategy in Kia Europe, across Markets and align with KIA HQ

  • Develop effective USP(unique Selling Proposition) strategy for PBV Business (hygiene vs. differentiator)

  • Collect and support the basic requirements definition for further PBV development process according to partners needs (NSCs, dealers, customers, digital solution providers, converters)

  • Support a Pan European Converter strategy through a  qualified partnership program with main  players from the Light Commercial Vehicle on the most representative use cases.


Your responsibilities:


PBV Go-to-market Strategy:

  • Manage PBV go-to-market strategy  with the support of Kia Europe departments (Sales, Marketing, Product, Ownership Experience, etc. )

  • Interface between the markets and Kia Europe departments

  • Assist in driving all cross departmental projects within Kia Europe related to PBV development

  • Record, track and report the development and launch status by country

  • Enhance project with running change and life cycle plans

  • Support market research and customer clinics to derive product and service requirements

  • Support Sales department with customers prospect on main use cases


Overall

  • Drive activities to understand the customer needs around LCV, Electrification & Autonomous Driving

  • Scout new market ideas and best practices from subsidiaries and distributors around (e-)LCV

  • Observe and analyse new market trends across the world

Your talents:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automotive business 

  • Interest and knowledge about future trends in automotive; particular experience with Light Commercial Vehicle business and preferentially with electric vehicles

  • Experience in light commercial vehicle conversion business

  • Experience in developing business case

  • Experience in international projects

  • Visionary thinking with strong self-motivation

  • Passionate about Light Commercial Vehicles and Electrification

  • Capability to understand different market needs

  • Experience in developing and launching new businesses

  • Project management with specific focus on time respect

  • Good presentation skills

  • High structured working style

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); an additional European language constitutes an advantage

  • Good computer skills (MS-Office) especially excel and power point.

  • Empathic personality with good communication skills across different cultures

  • Great planner with capability to “deliver” within deadlines

  • Able to manage resistances and oppositions, finding solutions within the constrictions

  • Dynamic, self-motivated with great level of originality

  • Highly adaptable, flexible and able to deal positively with uncertainty
