Senior Manager PBV Homologations Support (all genders welcome) at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.
Job mission:As the Senior Manager PBV (Purpose-Built Vehicle) Homologations Support, you will be at the forefront of Kia Europe’s innovative PBV initiatives. You will serve as the central expert and strategic advisor, ensuring that homologation processes and regulations are seamlessly integrated into the lifecycle of PBVs. Through close collaboration with internal departments, Kia HQ R&D, regulatory authorities, and external partners, you will drive operational excellence, enabling smooth market entry for PBV conversions and accessories. Your role will also include empowering stakeholders with advanced tools, processes, and business intelligence to navigate the complex landscape of homologations.
Your responsibilities:
Homologations Expertise and Strategic Oversight
Lead homologation processes for PBV conversions, accessories, and customizations, ensuring full compliance with European regulations.
Establish and maintain strategic relationships with R&D teams at Kia HQ, HMETC, and regulatory authorities to ensure alignment on homologation standards.
Gather, analyze, and disseminate business intelligence on evolving regulations and homologation requirements, proactively guiding internal stakeholders.
Support for Internal and External Stakeholders
Provide expert homologation support to National Sales Companies (NSCs), distributors, and the Kia Europe product team.
Implement and manage the Bodybuilders Homologation Tools and Workflows to streamline requests and approvals.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Bodybuilders through the Bodybuilders Portal, offering timely and accurate guidance.
PBV Go-to-Market Strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, product, OX, IT, CX, and channel management) to align the homologation process with Kia’s PBV go-to-market strategy.
Assist in driving PBV-related projects, ensuring compliance with homologation requirements throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
Support market research and customer clinics to identify homologation implications for new product and service offerings.
Process Improvement and Lifecycle Management
Enhance PBV development through lifecycle plans and adaptations to meet market-specific homologation needs.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within homologation workflows, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Cross-Departmental and External Collaboration
Lead cross-departmental projects related to PBV homologation and development, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Represent Kia Europe at regulatory discussions and industry forums to advocate for PBV-related priorities and influence regulatory outcomes.
Your talents:
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Automotive, or a related field.
Professional certifications in homologation, regulatory compliance, or project management are a plus.
Proficiency in English is required; additional European languages are advantageous.
Expertise and Experience:
At least 7+ years of professional experience in vehicle homologations, regulatory compliance, or a related field, with demonstrated success in a senior role.
Extensive knowledge and proven expertise in vehicle homologations, preferably within the European automotive sector.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, homologation processes, and the automotive innovation landscape.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners, including regulatory authorities and technical centers.
