Job Description: Specialist Data Management (all genders welcome)



at the Kia Connect GmbH in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.


Job mission:


As a Specialist in Data Management, you will support both the API Services and the Data Analytics teams in delivering high-quality, scalable, and reliable data solutions. Your role bridges the gap between cloud-based data engineering and business intelligence, helping to build data pipelines, support APIs, and enable insight-driven decision-making via tools like Salesforce Data Cloud and Tableau. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data flows efficiently and accurately through our systems. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Data Integration Support: Assist in designing and maintaining data pipelines that move and transform data between APIs, Salesforce Data Cloud, AWS, and other internal platforms. 

  • API Collaboration: Support the development and integration of APIs used for data provisioning, consumption, and automation. 

  • Cloud Infrastructure Assistance: Operate and monitor AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and Glue, supporting our scalable cloud data architecture. 

  • Visualization Enablement: Support the development of dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau and ensure the underlying data models are accurate and well-structured. 

  • Data Governance: Contribute to data quality monitoring and help enforce governance policies across the data landscape. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Senior Specialists in API Services and Data Analytics to meet shared objectives and project deadlines. 

  • Documentation & Support: Maintain clear documentation of data flows, APIs, and system processes; provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting. 

  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about developments in cloud technologies, APIs, and analytics platforms to support innovation and team agility. 

     
    Your talents:

Education:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field with focus on data and integration technologies. 

     

    Experience:

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in data integration, analytics, or engineering roles. 

  • Hands-on experience working with Tableau and/or Salesforce Data Cloud. 

  • Exposure to AWS services such as S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Glue, or similar cloud platforms. 

  • Experience working with or consuming RESTful APIs. 

     

    Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and basic scripting (Python, JavaScript, or similar). 

  • Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT workflows, and API design principles.

  • Familiarity with tools like Git, CI/CD, and basic DevOps workflows. F

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.

  • Strong communicator and collaborator, comfortable working across different technical teams. 

  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
