Finance & Accounting Specialist (all genders welcome)

Job mission:


As a Finance and Accounting Specialist, you'll enjoy the possibility to impact and to co-drive key financial operations and ensure compliance with essential standards (HGB, IFRS). Your responsibilities will span diverse and impactful tasks, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, all while enjoying the opportunity to make a significant impact. Your Responsibilities:

  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile business transactions.

  • Processing of incoming and outgoing invoices.

  • Handling of travel expense and business expense reports.

  • Assists with the development and regular update of Finance policies and procedures.

  • Processing of bank account statements.

  • Support and assistance in asset accounting.

  • Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS and HGB.

  • Preparation of the payment run.

  • Assistance in preparation of VAT returns and ZM.

  • Communicate effectively with departments, customers, and suppliers.

  • Support in internal and external audits such as tax audits.

  • Creation of ad hoc reports.

  • Contribute to constantly improve processes and IT systems.

  • Provide insights to support decision-making processes.

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Perform reconciliations of financial accounts and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Your talents:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or related field.

  • Proven track record as an accountant.


    Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting.

     

    Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of German GAAP standards and financial regulations.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Team spirit and cooperation is important to you.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven capability with SAP and Microsoft Office products (especially Excel, PowerPoint beneficial).

  • Dynamic and future-oriented mind set.

  • Fluent in German, good communication skills in English, any further language is a plus.
