Specialist Product & PBV PR (all genders welcome) within our Marketing department at the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.

Job mission:As a Specialist in Product & PBV PR, you will support the development and execution of PR strategies for Kia’s product launches, generating media coverage to support the businesses objectives. Working closely with both the PR, Events and Marketing Cars teams, you will assist in product unveilings, test-drive events, and the creation of media materials. You will build strong relationships with PR Managers across Europe and key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of product information and timely responses to media inquiries. This junior role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Product PR within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will not just be a car fanatic but also have a passion for storytelling, an interest in automotive media relations, and a proactive, adaptable attitude in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities:


Planning & Internal Coordination:

  • Contribute to the development of PR strategies and creative concepts for key product launches.

  • Maintain and regularly update the PR activities calendar, ensuring timely communication of key information to relevant teams.

  • Provide administrative support for press events, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with PR objectives.

  • Coordinate and organize product-related media visits to Kia Europe/Kia Global HQ, delivering exceptional experiences for guests.

  • Assist in crisis management efforts related to product issues, including preparing press statements and responding to media inquiries.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Cars team to ensure the availability of the appropriate vehicles for PR events and activities, aligning with project requirements.

  • Support the Senior PR Manager and Product & PBV Manager in planning, budgeting, and coordinating product PR initiatives.

  • Contribute to the development of the future PR Masterplan, fostering a collaborative team effort.


    Press Materials:

  • Collaborate with and brief PR agencies to address product communication needs.

  • Assist in the creation and distribution of product-related media materials, including press releases, vehicle specifications, and visual assets, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.

  • Support the management of photo and video services for media, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and coordination with approved suppliers.

  • Aid in the creation and distribution of product PR messaging, ensuring market PR teams are up to date on product developments.

  • Provide support at product-related events, including moderating interviews and assisting with written Q&A requests.

  • Assist in media training for product spokespersons, as needed.


    PR Managers & Industry Relations:

  • Assist in identifying media opportunities for product messaging across automotive, tech, and business outlets, promoting Kia’s product range throughout Europe.

  • Coordinate PR meetings with market representatives and assist in preparing feedback for senior leadership.

  • Support the updating and communication of PR processes and guidelines to ensure consistent alignment across teams.

  • Respond to media inquiries and manage incoming media requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

  • Help coordinate and manage product PR projects across EU markets, fostering alignment and collaboration among teams.


    Reporting & Evaluation:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns, ensuring alignment with KPIs and overall objectives.

  • Build and nurture relationships with key industry contacts, including journalists and influencers, to enhance Kia's visibility and reputation.

  • Stay informed on the latest automotive trends by staying informed on industry trends; we value a curious mindset and encourage ambitions to continuously improve our PR offerings across Europe.


Your talents:

  • Study in Public Relations, journalist and/or Media Communications is highly advantageous.

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English (additional European languages are a plus).

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and meet deadlines.

  • Proactive, creative, and eager to take initiative in PR activities.

  • Proven experience in producing PR tools, including press releases, creating media lists, and responding to press inquiries, is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel highly desired.
