Job Mission

Provide Market Intelligence by analyzing past sales and production market of all European RHQ countries as well as analyzing forecast for European RHQ markets. Provide analyses of the performance & forecasts per country in combination with industry data to Kia EU top management and the markets focusing on the industry, individual segments, nameplates and competitive activities.

Your Responsibilities


  • Analyze past industry data per country for sales and production

  • Analyze future industry forecasts per country for sales and production

  • Analyze key indicators for Kia EU strategy of all departments to recommend future strategic progress

  • Manage a central repository of competitive intelligence data sets, fully automated and updated on a regular basis (Tableau)

  • Set-up and capture cross-functional strategic KPIs in a comprehensive and automated format


  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of key industry, segment and competitors’ strategies and strategic actions, discern trends as well as near- and long-term implications for Kia Europe, and develop a point of view on potential courses of action

  • Collaborate with different teams across Product Management, Sales, Business Planning, to bring together a cross-functional perspective on competitive actions and dynamics and range of competitive response options

  • Synthesize competitive insights and implications for executive consumption in a way that facilitates decision making by using an array of presentation and data manipulation tools

  • Ensure an effective dissemination of competitive intelligence insights to all relevant stakeholders across the organization

  • Develop tool and analysis structure of internal strategic KPIs, allowing the Business Strategy Group to evaluate progress towards long-term strategy


  • Analyze key European trends for sales and production from the combined data on adequate level to understand the Kia EU Region development

  • Develop a process to survey and understand the customer demand (Kia EU Top management + Sub´s) regarding market trends and secure to cover this demand in the market intelligence reports


  • Provide Market Intelligence Report covering Sales, Production and Strategic KPI´s to Kia EU top management

  • Provide Market Intelligence Report covering Sales and Strategic KPI´s to Kia EU Markets (Subs)

  • Support Kia HQ reports by providing Key Trends and developments of Kia EU Region.

Your Profile

  • Master degree or equivalent in quant-driven major (e.g. math, physics, engineering, economics) 

  • Min. 3 years of professional experience in automotive industry 

  • Experience in working with and analyzing big data

  • Experience in providing top management reports

  • Working experience in quant-/ analytics driven subjects, preferably in automotive industry

  • Highly passionate about understanding trends

  • Advanced IT skills (complex spreadsheets in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, databases / SQL as a plus)

  • Enjoying communication and creating alignment between various levels and across different functions in the organization

  • Strong collaboration skills

  • Driven team player, result-oriented and supportive

  • Fluent in English
